PEI has grown from five people based in a small London office at the time of its first MBO in 2001 to employing more than 150 staff in three regional offices in Hong Kong, London and New York. Philip BorelEditorial Director

Philip was part of the team involved in the MBO in 2001 from Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC. He has led the company’s global team of journalists ever since. Born and raised in Germany, Philip has lived in Britain since 1993. He’s a graduate of the University of York and the London School of Economics.

Jonathan joined the PEI team in 2009 from a UK-focused commercial property magazine to lead PERE’s coverage of the Asian markets. He became editor of the PERE website in 2012 and was appointed Senior Editor, Real Estate in 2015. Jonathan is an NCTJ-qualified journalist and holds a bachelors degree with honours from the University of Kent.

Colm joined PEI in 2004 as a journalist, moved to the Conferences division in 2005 becoming its head in 2008 and was appointed Managing Director [Americas] in 2015. Colm holds an LLB from the Queen’s University of Belfast, an MA in journalism from the University of Westminster and a Certificat d’Etudes Politiques from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Bordeaux.

Dan joined PEI in 2010 to lead and develop the company's research and analytics services for the private equity, private real estate, private debt and infrastructure markets. A graduate of the University of Bristol, he previously worked at EMAP as Operations Director of its political information and data service.

Amanda joined PEI’s New York office as a journalist in 2007, having previously worked as the business editor for a daily newspaper in the San Francisco Bay Area. She relocated to PEI’s London office in 2008, became Director of PEI's specialist networks division in 2013, was appointed Group Managing Editor in 2015 and Director of Digital Product Development in 2017. Amanda has an MA in international journalism from City University of London and bachelor’s degrees in English literature and Italian studies from Saint Mary’s College of California.

Paul is Publishing Director for the group having joined PEI in 2006 as Sales and Marketing Director. He has over 20 years sales, marketing and commercial experience gained at Thomson Financial, Financial News and FTSE. He is a graduate of AUT, Auckland, New Zealand.

Tim joined PEI in 2008 as Group Managing Director after group directorship of Emap’s B2B Media assets and previous roles in consumer markets for DMGT. He became Chief Executive of PEI in 2015 having led the MBO from the company’s co-founders that year. A graduate of Newcastle Polytechnic’s Applied Chemistry faculty he also holds a master's-level Diploma in Business Publishing.

Chris has a BSBA in Marketing from the University of Arizona as well as an MA in International Political Economy from the Claremont Graduate School in California.

He holds a Master’s degree in Marketing Communications from Emerson College.

He has extensive experience in CFO and corporate development roles in a number of global media businesses. Kashmir is a Chartered Accountant and has an MBA from London Business School.

Tony joined PEI as its first CTIO in July 2016. He came on board following a five-year spell at Euromoney Institutional Investor, where he managed the technology portfolio and guided their digital transformation programme. With nearly 20 years' experience in digital media, and stints at multi-channel publishers Emap and Bauer Media, Tony is a key addition to the PEI management team.

Before moving to Hong Kong, Arshiya was a business correspondent covering consumer companies and advertising for a New Delhi-based trade publication. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from The University of Hong Kong.

Iris joined PEI in 2012 as Logistics Manager, and is responsible for all the logistic details of conferences and training courses in Asia. Iris began her career in event management with Haymarket Media in Hong Kong, where she worked on financial conferences, award shows and multi-day festivals across the APAC region. In addition to her native Cantonese, Iris also speaks fluent English and Mandarin.

A graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, Carmela joined PEI in 2015 from a digital agency in Singapore where she worked on government websites and publications covering business, trade and industry, transport, and social development.
